Health and Safety at work Act 1974
Mandatory adherence at all times
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 is the primary piece of legislation covering occupational health and safety in Great Britain. It’s sometimes referred to as HSWA, the HSW Act, the 1974 Act or HASAWA.
It sets out the general duties which:
- employers have towards employees and members of the public
- employees have to themselves and to each other
- certain self-employed have towards themselves and others
Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015
We understand each duty holders role; we are able provide guidance, expertise and experience of each role
CDM 2015 details the application and the duties of clients for all construction projects. These duties apply in full for commercial clients. However, the duties for domestic clients normally pass to other dutyholders

COMPETENCE
Where reasonably practicable we always ensure competence by following the blueprint of: SKATE (Skills, Knowledge, Attitude, Training and Experience). For example ensuring adequate industry recognised competence qualifications for our labour force:
- Specific Training for high risk activities: e.g. NVQs, City and Guilds. (NRSWA, Confined spaces, working at height, excavations,
- SSSTS, SMSTS
- CPCS / NPORS
- NEBOSH / IOSH
- Professional Bodies: CICES, RICS, ICE, CIOB, CIHT etc.
